Job Description
AI Signal Research, Inc. (ASRI) is recruiting for the Redstone Test and Engineering Services (RTES) contract in support of the Redstone Test Center mission to provide superior technical expertise conducting tests, analyzing the results, and reporting the results on systems, subsystems, and components related to aviation, missile, and sensor platforms.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Months/Years of Experience: Nine (9) years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or four (4) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and five (5) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: Environmental Systems Technician – Must possess EPA approved certification in proper refrigerant usage to include freon recovery units.
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Must have or be able to obtain Ammunition and Explosives Certification. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work extended hours with little notice.
Duties: Perform maintenance and repair operations for Climatic and Dynamic Test Facilities, including preventive maintenance scheduling and servicing of environmental test chambers. Install, modify, and repair HVAC systems (hermetic, semi-hermetic, screw, scroll, centrifugal up to 1100 tons), ventilation, reverse osmosis, process coolers, air compressors, cascade systems, and control systems. Maintain and repair lab systems (fume hoods, vacuum, gas lines, pumps, deionized water, etc.). Read and interpret scientific instruments, plans, and manuals. Communicate clearly in writing and verbally. Understand and apply regulations including the National Electrical Code. Work around explosives.
