Position Summary

Based in Madrid, Spain, the Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and integrating mechanical structures and systems within aerospace projects. Working within the Engineering team, you will ensure solutions meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements .

This role suits someone with a strong background in mechanical design and CAD , comfortable in demanding environments and fluent in English and Spanish .

What you will do

  • Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and installations using 3D/2D CAD tools.
  • Apply engineering design rules (materials, sheet metal, machining, fasteners, etc.).
  • Define interfaces with suppliers and customers .
  • Support manufacturing, installation, and testing activities.
  • Ensure design-to-cost and design-to-weight principles.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance.
  • Identify risks and contribute to efficient technical solutions .


Who you are

  • Degree or Master's in Aeronautical, Industrial, Mechanical or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and/or aeronautical structures .
  • Strong ability to develop mechanisms and kinematic concepts .
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, TeamCenter, Windchill ).
  • Strong understanding of aerospace design standards and certification requirements .
  • Experience with full design lifecycle (concept to validation and production support) .
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and technical judgment .
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and demanding project conditions .
  • High level of English and Spanish .
