Job Description

Senior Technical UI Artist - Big Farm Homestead

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Technical UI Artist - Big Farm Homestead in Germany.

This role sits at the intersection of art, design, and engineering within a fast-paced mobile game production environment. You will take full ownership of UI creation for a live farming simulation game, shaping how millions of players interact with features, events, and systems every day. From early wireframes and UX flows to final in-game implementation, you will craft polished, visually engaging interfaces that are both intuitive and performance-optimized for mobile. Working in a highly collaborative, international studio, you will bridge creative and technical disciplines while ensuring UI consistency and quality across the product. You will also collaborate closely with a sister game team, adapting and evolving shared UI systems to fit different player experiences. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where your work directly defines the player experience at scale.

Accountabilities

You will be responsible for owning the full UI production pipeline for features and live operations content, ensuring high-quality execution from concept to in-engine delivery. You will design and implement intuitive, visually rich interfaces that align with game vision and player expectations while maintaining technical performance on mobile platforms.

  • Own end-to-end UI creation: wireframes, UX flows, prototypes, final assets, and Unity implementation
  • Design and produce original UI art including icons, illustrations, banners, event visuals, and offer creatives
  • Implement and integrate UI directly in Unity (prefabs, layouts, scaling, responsive design)
  • Develop and maintain UI animations and transitions using Unity tools (Timeline, DOTween, Animator)
  • Maintain and evolve UI/UX design systems, ensuring consistency across all game features
  • Collaborate with game design, engineering, QA, and art teams to refine UX and resolve UI bottlenecks
  • Adapt and align UI systems with a sister game while sharing improvements and learnings across teams
  • Support continuous improvement of workflows, including exploration of new tools and AI-assisted design solutions
Requirements

You bring strong experience in UI/UX and technical UI production within mobile or casual games, combining artistic creativity with solid technical implementation skills. You are comfortable working across disciplines and translating design intent into production-ready, interactive experiences.

  • Several years of experience in UI/UX design and UI production in mobile game development
  • Strong portfolio showcasing original UI assets such as icons, illustrations, banners, and in-game visuals
  • Hands-on experience implementing UI in Unity (UGUI, prefabs, layouts, responsive systems)
  • Strong UI animation skills using Unity tools such as Timeline, DOTween, or Animator
  • Proficiency with Figma for UI design, systems, and collaboration workflows
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for high-quality visual production
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, interaction design, and mobile game standards
  • Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) in production environments
  • Strong communication skills in English and ability to collaborate across international teams
  • Proactive, self-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and ownership mentality
Benefits
  • Fully remote work or access to a modern office environment in Hamburg
  • Flexible working hours supporting work-life balance
  • Competitive vacation allowance and time-off policies
  • International, multicultural team environment with strong collaboration culture
  • Flat hierarchy and high ownership culture focused on autonomy and impact
  • Access to continuous learning, development opportunities, and internal knowledge sharing
  • Regular team events, studio gatherings, and collaborative activities
  • Public transport support (for Germany-based employees)
  • Work on a large-scale live game with millions of daily players
