This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of a high-scale consumer product that simplifies a major part of everyday life for millions of users. You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, UX, and visual design, helping define how a complex, traditionally fragmented industry is transformed into a seamless digital experience. As a senior individual contributor, you will lead 0→1 product initiatives, elevate design quality across core user journeys, and influence the evolution of a scalable design system. Working closely with product managers, engineers, and data teams, you will turn insights into intuitive, high-impact experiences. Your work will directly shape how millions of people interact with critical services in their daily lives.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead end-to-end product design efforts across key user journeys, driving both innovation and craft excellence across mobile and web platforms. You will define and elevate the design vision while ensuring consistency, usability, and scalability across products.

  • Lead design for core product areas, including insurance, safety, repairs, and related consumer services
  • Own 0→1 product initiatives, translating ambiguous opportunities into clear, intuitive user experiences
  • Partner with research, product, data, and engineering teams to identify user needs and convert insights into design solutions
  • Design elegant, frictionless experiences that improve engagement, retention, and overall product performance
  • Build and evolve scalable design systems to ensure consistency and visual excellence across platforms
  • Apply emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance usability, personalization, and product efficiency
  • Raise the overall bar for UX and visual design quality, ensuring clarity, speed, and craft in every interaction
  • Contribute to product strategy discussions and influence cross-functional decision-making
Requirements:

This position requires extensive experience in product design, strong visual and UX skills, and a proven ability to lead complex design initiatives in fast-moving environments. You should be comfortable working at scale and collaborating across multiple disciplines.

  • 12+ years of product design experience across mobile and web platforms, ideally in consumer-focused products
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality UX, visual design, and shipped products at scale
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end design work from discovery and concept to launch and iteration
  • Experience building and evolving design systems in close collaboration with engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of user research, product strategy, and data-informed design decisions
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines
  • Experience in marketplaces, fintech, mobility, or insurance industries is a plus
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package with base salary and potential equity grants
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Paid time off and generous parental leave policies
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Wellness and employee support programs
  • Remote-friendly and flexible work environment
  • Opportunity to shape a high-growth consumer product used by millions
  • Strong focus on design craft, innovation, and career growth
