About the Role:
We are looking for a people-centric HR Generalist/Admin to anchor our daily operations and help shape the culture of our growing office. In this role, you will ensure our HR and office processes run seamlessly while staying closely aligned with our US HQ’s centralized HR strategy. This is a full-time, hybrid position reporting to the Sr. HR Manager.
Essential Responsibilities:
- HR Operations & Administration:
- Take ownership of payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
- Maintain and evolve our HR records and procedures, partnering with US HQ to implement standardized practices for the local team.
- Manage the annual and semi-annual performance review processes.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Support recruitment efforts by managing job postings, screening talent, and coordinating a seamless interview experience for candidates.
- Lead the entire onboarding journey, including I-9 verification, orientation, training schedule coordination, and probationary reviews.
- Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Develop and launch initiatives to improve employee engagement, recognition, and long-term retention.
- Plan and develop company events designed to foster real connections across our hybrid work environment.
- Employee Relations & Performance Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and helping resolve workplace conflicts with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Serve as a bridge for employee relations matters, working under the guidance of the Sr. HR Manager to ensure fair and consistent resolutions.
- Office Administration & Operations:
- Oversee daily operations, including vendor coordination, facility needs, and maintaining a well-stocked and functional workspace.
- Partner with the IT team to manage workstation setups for new hires and serve as the local point of contact for basic troubleshooting and equipment needs.
- Ensure smooth communication and collaboration across our small but rapidly growing team.
- Ability to commute to the NY Office (minimum 3 times per week) and to the PA Office as requested
- 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a small or fast-growing office environment
- Proficiency in MS Suite and HR systems (HRIS, ATS)
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and compliance across local, multi-state (NY, NJ, PA, CA), and federal regulations
- Experience in recruitment, payroll, benefits administration (health insurance and 401k), employee documentation, and other administrative HR support
- Experience in building employee engagement initiatives
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of confidentiality and problem-solving skills
- Travel up to 5% of the schedule
- Familiarity with BambooHR (HRIS) and JazzHR (ATS)
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
- Bilingual Korean

Pay Rate Range:
- $60,000 - $75,000 per year
