Entry-Level / Support Role

• Assist with installation of copper and fiber cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Fiber Optic, etc.) under supervision.

• Pull, route, and label cables in a variety of environments.

• Learn proper use of tools, testing equipment, and installation standards.

• Support team members in daily tasks.

• Ideal for candidates with limited experience but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Experienced Installer

• Install, terminate, test, and label copper and fiber cabling with minimal supervision.

• Plan and execute cable routing (overhead, under-floor, conduit, etc.) efficiently and safely.

• Learn and execute closet installations.

• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and specifications.

• Install and configure network racks, patch panels, and related hardware.

• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity or installation issues.

Lead / Advanced Role

• Lead complex installations and ensure adherence to industry standards and project timelines.

• Oversee and quality-check all aspects of structured cabling projects.

• Act as a key point of contact for project managers and clients on technical matters.

• Execute and oversee closet installations.

• Train to individually Lead on small projects.

• Operate company vehicles and machinery when necessary.

• Troubleshoot advanced system issues and implement effective solutions.

• Mentor and train junior staff, fostering team development.

• Tech I: Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work in construction environments.

• Tech II: 2+ years of structured cabling or related experience, demonstrated technical proficiency.

• Tech III: 5+ years of structured cabling experience with leadership responsibilities.

• Familiarity with industry tools and testing equipment (toner, tester, punchdown tools, OTDR, etc.).

• Ability to safely operate ladders, lifts, and hand/power tools.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

• BICSI certification, OSHA 10/30, or other relevant credentials are highly desirable.

• Competitive starting wages: Tech I ($20/hr), Tech II ($24/hr), Tech III ($28/hr)
