Position OverviewPosition: Calibration Specialist
Location: Regional / Western United States (as needed)

Rust Automation & Controls is seeking a highly skilled Calibration Specialist to support complex calibration, commissioning, and service activities. This role serves as a technical resource across administrative systems, field execution, customer support, and quality compliance—ensuring efficient job preparation, execution, and closeout for large and complex calibration projects.

Key ObjectivesSupport accurate and compliant execution of calibration and service workImprove job readiness, documentation quality, and resource utilizationProvide advanced technical and subject matter expertise to customers and field teamsUphold calibration standards and quality systems for Rust ServiceRole & ResponsibilitiesCalibration Support Specialist will support regional service teams, customers, and internal stakeholders across administrative systems, field execution, technical support, and quality compliance.

Core ResponsibilitiesPopulate and maintain work order databases, Salesforce processes, and Group Knowledge Base articlesSupport work order line items by defining parameters, ranges, MPEs, and calibration set points, and review final calibration certificates for accuracy and complianceCommunicate with customers at job initiation and closeout while managing documentation workflows, including blue folder administration and final document archivalCreate and maintain equipment schedules and prescribed calibration intervals for customer assetsPrepare and support commissioning, troubleshooting, and large calibration jobs through site planning, audits, walk-downs, and SME field support as neededPerform and support internal and external technical training initiatives and technician mentorshipManage, allocate, and coordinate technicians, site supplies, tools, and equipment while maintaining visibility of tool locationsProvide high-level customer support as an SME and assist during complex or critical service situationsWork directly with Endress+Hauser’s calibration team to follow protocols, support ISO/IEC 17025 audits, and continuously improve calibration standardsQualifications & ProfileStrong technical background in instrumentation, calibration, commissioning, or industrial servicesExperience supporting complex service or calibration projects preferredWillingness and ability to travel to customer sites as neededHighly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracySelf-motivated, adaptable, and solution-orientedStrong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, managers, and manufacturing partnersAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across teamsProficiency with CRM/ERP and documentation systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite)Benefits & PerksCompetitive compensation based on education and experienceStability and long-term security of a family-owned organizationExtensive training and professional development opportunitiesComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverageCompetitive paid time offLife insurance401(k) with company matchIs This You?Do you have a pioneering spirit and enjoy working for a growing company with a strong culture?Do you thrive in a motivated, team-oriented environment focused on customer solutions?Do you enjoy solving problems and taking on challenges?Do you strive to exemplify excellence in everything you do?If you answered YES, Rust Automation & Controls would love to welcome you to our family.
