This role sits at the center of finance transformation and operational excellence within a large, complex organization. You will design, optimize, and govern finance-related business processes that support Controllership and FP&A activities across national operations. Acting as a key connector between finance, technology, and operations teams, you will help ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across workflows. The position requires a strong process mindset, with a focus on improving quality, strengthening internal controls, and enabling scalable financial operations. You will also contribute to system-driven initiatives using agency management platforms and reporting tools, ensuring accurate documentation and effective adoption of standardized procedures. This is a highly collaborative role where you will influence enterprise-wide finance processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead the design, documentation, and optimization of finance business processes across Controllership and FP&A functions.
- Develop, test, and refine workflows, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with enterprise standards and operating models.
- Support internal control frameworks by embedding governance, consistency, and compliance into financial processes.
- Utilize agency management systems and reporting tools to support process execution, documentation, and validation.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, training materials, and operational procedures for ongoing use.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with training and regional teams to support onboarding, knowledge sharing, and capability development.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, Sagitta, BenefitPoint, AMS360) and related finance tools.
- Proven experience in process improvement, workflow optimization, and operational standardization.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex projects, and competing deadlines effectively.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and presenting to stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Solid understanding of finance processes such as premium accounting, internal controls, financial reporting, or compensation modeling (preferred).
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a flexible, remote environment with occasional travel requirements.
