Housekeeper at Oars Senior Living Inc – Citrus Heights, California

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a safe and meticulously clean environment for our residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide a safe environment for all residents; Practice safe working procedures at all times.
• Follow all policies related to universal/standard precautions, personal protective equipment, lockout tagout, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and OSHA requirements when completing daily responsibilities.
• Utilize proper cleaning/sanitizing techniques when working with bodily fluids, blood, and/or chemicals.
• Maintain thorough cleanliness of resident suites, common areas, dining rooms, main offices and supplies closet.
• Maintain a sense of urgency in keeping resident suites stocked and clean.
• Responsible for internal and external maintenance of community.
• Some laundry and maintenance responsibilities required i.e. linen changes during weekly room clean, assist with room moves, suite turnover, and other duties as assigned.
• Partners with care managers in maintaining resident safety; Keeps housekeeping cart locked and secures chemicals at all times.
• Assists Lead Housekeeper in the upkeep of the community with a sense of urgency.
• Uphold respect and dignity for residents.
• Engages in positive processes and practices; Comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations as it relates to resident care and services.
• Maintain all mandatory training requirements set forth by The Oars Senior Living and Community Care Licensing.
  

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong work ethic.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Able to work independently.
• Flexible: No task too high or too low. Creative, whatever it takes attitude to take projects to completion. Able to change course mid-way through a project if needed to and maintain sense of urgency to complete.
• Must have clean, professional presentation.
• Professional verbal etiquette.
