This role is a rare opportunity to shape the emotional and creative voice of a fast-growing consumer technology product transforming a traditionally stressful industry. You will be responsible for redefining how customers experience communication across every touchpoint, turning functional, transactional messaging into human, trust-building storytelling. Operating in a high-growth, data-driven environment, you will collaborate closely with product, growth, design, and insights teams to translate user needs into compelling narratives. This is a hands-on senior role where you will personally craft messaging across CRM, email, SMS, in-app content, and community channels. You will play a key role in building brand trust and long-term engagement, helping transform how customers perceive and connect with the product. Over time, your influence may extend into broader creative strategy and organic brand expression across multiple channels.
- Redesign and elevate all customer-facing messaging across CRM, email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app communications to create a more human and trust-driven voice
- Develop and own the brand tone of voice, ensuring consistency across all organic customer touchpoints
- Write and personally execute high-impact copy for lifecycle marketing campaigns and customer communications
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Growth, and Customer Insights teams to translate user needs and behavioral data into compelling messaging strategies
- Transform complex and often stressful topics into clear, empathetic, and engaging customer narratives
- Build and refine messaging frameworks that improve engagement, retention, and long-term customer trust
- Engage directly with customer communities and feedback channels to inform messaging strategy and brand positioning
- Potentially expand scope into broader creative marketing initiatives such as social media and organic brand content
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in creative marketing, copywriting, or customer communications roles within consumer-focused brands
- Proven expertise in writing high-performing CRM, email, and SMS campaigns with measurable impact
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative storytelling, copywriting excellence, and brand voice development
- Ability to translate complex, technical, or emotional topics into simple, engaging, and human-centered messaging
- Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven environments, ideally within high-growth startups
- Strong understanding of audience development, product positioning, and lifecycle marketing principles
- Familiarity with digital communities and platforms such as Reddit and social media ecosystems
- First-principles thinker with strong empathy for customer pain points and behavioral insights
- Comfortable challenging data-driven teams and advocating for brand and creative impact
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
