This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior QA Engineer / SDET in United States.

This role sits at the heart of a mission-driven organization focused on delivering high-quality, data-driven digital learning experiences at scale. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and accessibility of complex education platforms used by teachers and students nationwide. Operating in a fully remote, collaborative environment, you will partner closely with engineering, product, and program teams to embed quality across the entire development lifecycle. The position blends hands-on test automation engineering with strategic quality ownership, making you a key advocate for user experience and system stability. You will contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts while helping evolve modern QA practices and tooling. This is an opportunity to influence product quality in a meaningful, education-focused tech environment where innovation and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will champion quality across engineering and product workflows while ensuring scalable, reliable, and accessible software delivery:

  • Drive a quality-first mindset across product, engineering, and support teams throughout the development lifecycle
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into comprehensive manual and automated test plans and cases
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for frontend and backend systems to improve coverage and efficiency
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, UI, performance, accessibility, and end-to-end testing across systems
  • Develop and execute performance and load tests to validate system behavior under varying conditions
  • Identify, log, triage, and track defects while collaborating with engineers to ensure timely resolution
  • Contribute to QA strategy, tooling improvements, and long-term test automation evolution
  • Support accessibility testing aligned with WCAG standards and advocate for inclusive product design
  • Build test data tools and contribute to scalable testing frameworks and infrastructure
  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration, documentation, and continuous process improvement initiatives
Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong QA engineering expertise with an automation-first mindset and collaborative approach:

  • 7+ years of experience in QA engineering, including both manual and automated testing
  • Strong experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks, particularly with Pytest
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, React, and API testing
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as Artillery or similar
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases and ability to query data directly and via Python
  • Experience with Bash scripting and Linux-based environments
  • Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., RDS, Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudWatch)
  • Experience testing microservices-based architectures and modern web applications
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and debugging abilities
  • Experience integrating or experimenting with AI tools in testing workflows is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote, fast-paced environment
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $121,500 – $140,250 (USD) depending on location and experience
  • Fully remote work environment with occasional in-person gatherings
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous paid time off (up to 41 days annually, prorated)
  • Paid parental leave
  • Professional development budget for learning and growth
  • Quarterly cell phone reimbursement subsidy
  • Exposure to modern QA tooling and advanced test automation practices
  • Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on education innovation and impact
