Position Overview:
We are seeking a Sewing Machine Operator / Upholstery Technician to join our manufacturing and production team. In this role, you will operate industrial sewing machines, cut patterns, and produce high-quality custom upholstery products in a fast-paced environment.
This position is ideal for candidates with experience in sewing, upholstery, or manufacturing, as well as detail-oriented individuals looking to grow their skills.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines (threading, bobbin changes, needle replacement)
- Cut patterns and materials accurately for upholstery production
- Execute custom upholstery jobs based on work orders and specifications
- Maintain consistent quality control and craftsmanship
- Work in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
- Maintain productivity and meet daily production goals
- Perform other general production and sewing duties as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience with sewing, upholstery, or industrial sewing machines preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work in a production or manufacturing environment
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently
Physical Demands:
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
- Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
- Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
