This crucial role will drive the accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing oversight within a fully remote team environment. The Accounting Manager will ensure accurate processing of financial transactions and collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiency. As a leader, this role will manage a small team and play a pivotal part in maintaining compliance with internal controls while fostering a productive and inclusive work culture. Accountabilities- Oversee accounts receivable operations, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collection.
- Supervise the billing lifecycle processes for compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare monthly commission calculations and ensure alignment with billed revenue.
- Leverage NetSuite for effective financial record management and reporting.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities related to accounts receivable.
- Support audit processes by maintaining documentation and adherence to internal controls.
- Develop and mentor a team of accounting professionals to achieve high performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in billing operations.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong expertise in NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Proficient in Salesforce for managing sales commissions and data integration.
- Advanced Excel skills required for financial modeling.
- Knowledge of GAAP and best accounting practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote environment effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaboration across teams.
- Experience in digital marketing or SaaS business model preferred.
- Understanding of multi-currency consolidations and foreign exchange accounting.
