About This Position

The Marketing Communications Account Manager for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia will oversee a robust client portfolio, get to drive the client experience and partner with internal teams on everything from strategy to project management to content creation. You will be responsible for a varied portfolio that will require you to utilize skills, such as creative writing, organizational and project management, strategic thinking, digital marketing, thought leadership and more. You will need to be detail-oriented, proactive, vocal but professional, creative, innovative, and resourceful.

You will manage marketing for small and large-scale events throughout the year, create meaningful content that can be used to share the story of our impact, help direct Jewish Federation’s social media and put your exceptional writing, organizational and project management skills to excellent use in order to uphold our mission of building a stronger Jewish community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Management:
    Serve as the primary marketing and communications liaison between various departments within the Jewish Federation, including Women’s Philanthropy, Missions, Mitzvah Food Program, and the Men’s Division, understanding their objectives and delivering tailored marketing strategies that support fundraising, events, and community outreach goals. Manage the day-to-day communications of project deliverables to clients, create comprehensive timelines for projects, and provide excellent service and foster relationships.
  • Campaign Development and Execution:
    Lead the creation, planning, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that promote the Jewish Federation’s programs, community events, philanthropic initiatives, and partnerships. Ensure consistent messaging across digital, social, print, and media channels. Provide assistance on Annual Campaign communications.
  • Content Strategy and Development:
    Lead content creation for digital and print with the goal of meeting programmatic, campaign and organizational objectives, increasing brand awareness, providing resources to the community, and heightening the community’s understanding of the organization’s work and impact. Write marketing/communications plans for clients and lead the implementation of outlined tactics. Write and edit a variety of products, including, but not limited to, letters, flyers, advertising, invitations, press releases, talking points, web and social media content, email newsletters and more.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts, using data analytics to track KPIs such as donor engagement, social media reach, and event participation. Provide actionable insights to improve future campaigns and increase community impact.
  • Stakeholder Relationships:
    Effectively lead internal meetings and partner with production, digital and creative colleagues on project execution. Cultivate strong relationships with the Jewish Federation leaders, lay partners, and community organizations. Present campaign strategies, performance updates and recommendations when needed to ensure alignment with organizational goal.
  • Budget Management:
    Manage budgets for assigned projects, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and expenses are tracked accurately. Work closely with leadership to optimize marketing spend and align efforts with strategic priorities.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, advertising or public relations with a strong project management background.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Writing/Public Relations or related field, or comparable work experience.
  • Strong people skills, able to get along with and work well with diverse personalities
  • Experience with and commitment to the Jewish community preferred, with a working knowledge of Jewish history, tradition and current events.
  • Thorough understanding of creative and production processes.
  • Working knowledge of design and graphics, including production requirements for print and electronic applications.
  • Proven ability to oversee projects from concept through layout, finished art, and production phases to completion.
  • An inherent understanding of target audiences’ demographics and psychographics to develop appropriate approaches.
  • Background in strategic marketing planning helpful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences. Proficient in AP style.
  • Proficient in marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) and CRM systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and priorities.
  • Experience working with lay leadership or volunteer-driven organizations is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with the Philadelphia Jewish community or Jewish communal organizations.
  • Experience in fundraising or donor-centric communications.
  • Certifications in marketing tools or project management (e.g., HubSpot certification, PMP).
