FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.
Job Summary
Daily management of the Packaging production schedule by making sure the priorities are set accordingly. Communicate and coordinate with other departments to stay on schedule and hit job completion dates. Direct and coach employees as needed in their job duties. Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with company values and current company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
· Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
· Manages and updates the production schedule for Packaging, assigns responsibility to appropriate staff and daily communicates the priorities.
· Collaborate with the Production team to effectively plan for current and upcoming needs.
· Daily coaching of employees
· Five years related experience and/or training in manufacturing department management. Electrical and mechanical education or experience
· Effective communication skills
· Exceptional problem-solving skills based on experience and available data
· Arrive to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled
· Interacts with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner
· Work to continuously improve the operations of the department through lean activities and improvement suggestions
· Willing to work flexible hours
· Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
· 2+ years of experience leading teams or supervisors.
· Experience in similar manufacturing environments preferred.
· Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles including 6S, Standard Work, and visual management.
· Electrical- Working understanding of transformers, disconnects, load centers and other electrical equipment.
· Mechanical- Working understanding of mechanics and basic manufacturing techniques.
· Ability to Interpret specifications, blueprints, and work instruction
Skills and Qualifications
· Ability to read drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
· Experience using ERP systems or manufacturing software.
· Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
· Ability to coach and develop leaders and frontline employees.
· Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving mindset.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent standing and walking for extended periods
- Repetitive use of hands, arms, and upper body
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds (or position-specific limit)
- Ability to operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely
- Ability to read and interpret measurements using a ruler or measuring tools
- Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing PPE
Working Condition
This position is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas, some of which are not fully covered. Employees may be exposed to fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, fumes, moving machinery, and hard or uneven walking surfaces. Work may involve proximity to heavy equipment, tools, forklifts, and production machinery. OSHA-compliant safety training, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety procedures are provided and must be followed at all times while in production and warehouse areas.
