Prep Cook

Great Western Dining Service at East Arkansas Community College is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cashier/Prep Cook to join our team. This dual role involves providing excellent customer service at the cash register while also assisting in food preparation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle cash accurately
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
• Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a cashier or food preparation role is preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
