Title: Cafeteria Monitor

Reports to: Supervisor of Related Services

Employment Information: Full time or Part time, 10-month bargaining unit position

Position Summary:

Prepares and distributes food items for breakfast, lunch and after school; provides complete and accurate documentation and audit trail for meals served; and maintains facilities in a sanitary condition.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Level 2+ (or above) ASLPI rating American Sign Language competence preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred
• Experience with Federal Food Service regulations preferred
• Ability to work and be productive with minimal supervision

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily clean up of PSD cafeteria
• Perform daily set up activities, store and heat prepared food.
• Perform daily serving of students breakfast, lunch and snacks.
• Support catering orders throughout the school for special events
• Maintain cafeteria storeroom in a clean and orderly manner
• Support physical inventory of items in storeroom at the end of the school year

Physical Demands:

• Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 25% walking, and 70% standing
