Quality Intern at Henke Sass Wolf Of America – Dudley, Massachusetts

Position Summary

The Quality and Process Intern will support the implementation of the BIC process management system at HSWoA. This role assists with transferring procedures into the system, mapping operational processes, and supporting quality and process management activities. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the position work will also work closely with the greater Quality Team and follow established guidelines for process and system implementation. Ideally, this position will average 20 hours per week or 40 hours bi-weekly. The schedule may be adjusted based on project needs and the intern’s academic commitments.

Key Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring procedures, documents, and workflows into the BIC system
• Support mapping of business processes in collaboration with Quality and relevant departments
• Work with the Quality team to maintain accuracy and consistency of process documentation
• Help ensure that processes and documentation align with quality and compliance requirements
• Perform data entry and system updates following instructions and validation rules
• Communicate progress and questions to supervisors in a timely manner
• Support general quality and process management tasks as assigned
  

Required Qualifications

• Strong interest and skill in computer software and implementation
• Ability to learn new software systems and follow structured workflows
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and follow clear instructions
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of quality documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or experience in quality management, process management, engineering, information systems, or related fields
• Familiarity with process mapping, flowcharts, or documentation control
• Interest in quality and process management concepts

Compensation

• $15 per hour

About Us

HSWOA was originally established as a service and repair facility for HSW GmbH's key North American customers. These customers are primarily medical equipment manufacturers and distributors of industrial instruments and equipment. The facility assembles new products and repairs instruments damaged during use, eliminating the long turnaround time involved in sending instruments to Germany for repairs. HSWOA activities focus on the medical endoscope.
