Laundry Attendant at Home2/TRU Grove City – Grove City, Ohio

Specific Duties:

• Soiled linens must be sorted wearing gloves;
• Properly identify, pull, and treat stained laundry;
• Notice and remove damaged laundry from inventory;
• Load soiled linens into the washing machine;
• Unload wet, clean linens into the dryers;
• Fold and store dry, clean linens, towels, rags, etc. in the appropriate locations;
• Issue towels, rags, linens to housekeepers daily or as needed;
• Clean out and remove lint from lint traps daily;
• Sweep the floor after cleaning lint traps to get anything up that may have been left behind;
• Maintain a clean and orderly work space and storage area;
• Refill chemicals as needed.
• Handle all interactions with hotel employees and/or guests in a friendly, professional, service oriented manner;
• Must comply with all hotel, company, and brand standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations;
• Assist in ordering supplies by letting supervisor know when things get low;
• Report to supervisor all maintenance equipment issues;
• Report to supervisor any and all health, safety, or hazard issues;
• Report maintenance request as needed;
• Report all lost and found items according to hotel standards;
• Complete all other assigned duties when necessary;
• The hotel is a 24 hr, 365 day open establishment. Flexible hours including weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to stand the required time for the shift;
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs frequently;
• Must be able to read and understand chemical products to ensure proper use;
• Must be able to demonstrate reliable and timely attendance;
• Must be able to manage time and complete tasks on schedule and efficiently;

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
• Hotel experience or related field preferred.
