About This Position
The Sales Training Coordinator plays a critical role in developing, onboarding, and enabling Steam’s sales organization. This position partners closely with Sales Leadership, Hiring Managers, and Operations stakeholders to design and deliver training that equips new and existing sales team members to succeed in the logistics industry. This is a role that blends content creation, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration. You will help translate complex logistics concepts into practical, digestible training that supports sales performance and long-term career growth at Steam.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Training & Enablement
- Assist in the design and deliver onboarding and ongoing training programs for sales roles, with a strong emphasis on brokerage sales.
- Partner with Sales Managers and Branch Managers to ensure training aligns with real-world selling behaviors, tools, and expectations.
- Facilitate live and virtual training sessions, workshops, and refreshers for new hires and tenured sales teams.
Content Development
- Assist in the creation and maintenance training materials including presentations, job aids, videos, and process documentation.
- Translate complex logistics concepts, terminology, and workflows into clear, sales-friendly language.
- Utilize modern content tools such as Canva, Snagit, Microsoft 365, Adobe tools,Vidyard, and other video or micro-learning platforms.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with Domestic and Drayage teams to ensure sales training reflects accurate processes and capabilities.
- Work with Hiring Managers and HR to support structured onboarding schedules and continuous education plans.
- Serve as a bridge between Sales and Operations to ensure training remains relevant and practical.
Continuous Improvement & Industry Awareness
- Stay informed on changes inwithin the freight market, compliance, and industry trends and integrate them into training as appropriate.
- Collect feedback from trainees and leaders to continuously improve training effectiveness.
- Actively pursue professional development, including logistics certifications and system training.
Qualifications
Required
- 1+ year of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations (sales experience strongly preferred).
- Strong communication skills with comfort presenting to groups and facilitating discussions.
- Proven ability to learn complex processes quickly and explain them clearly to others.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred
- Associate’s degree or higher in a related field.
- Exposure to sales environments, sales onboarding, or enablement programs.
- Working knowledge of transportation management systems.
- Experience creating training content, documentation, or instructional materials.
