The Opportunity: The Research Assistant is responsible for supporting the research team in meeting the objectives of various research projects and ensuring project deliverables are developed and completed in collaboration with the research leads, project team, academic partners, and community advisers.

  • Provides coordination and administrative support for Indigenous health and research projects, including maintaining participant lists and assisting with scheduling activities
  • Assists research leads in conducting key informant interviews and focus groups, including preparation, documentation, and follow-up
  • Conducts literature searches and supports the synthesis of findings for inclusion in project reports
  • Assists with the preparation and revision of research ethics applications and related materials, in collaboration with the research team
  • Maintains organized and accurate project documentation in alignment with confidentiality and ethical standards

What You Will Bring to The Role:

  • Diploma in the health or social science field
  • Two years’ experience in a research-related field
  • Evidence of research and community development experience

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $26.44 to $34.2415 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
