About This Position

Description:

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems within our food-grade manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Technician ensures all machinery and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and OSHA regulations.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and complete daily maintenance operations as needed throughout the facilities as assigned through the maintenance log and the Operations Manager.
  • Schedule routine maintenance with outside vendors.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for the best quotes and pricing for specialized repairs and services.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all properties to identify maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Train additional staff needed to work on priorities.
  • Perform timely and thorough snow removal and salting of company parking lots and walkways, if necessary, to ensure safe access for employees and visitors during winter weather conditions.
  • Keep personal work areas clean, neat & organized.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Requirements

  • 4 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a food, beverage, or regulated industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Licensed electrician.
  • HVAC preferred.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, basic electrical troubleshooting, and hand/power tools.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, food-grade maintenance standards preferred
  • Solid understanding of basic safety protocols.
  • Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs independently and work in hot, cold, wet, or confined environments as needed.

  • Strong hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and fix issues quickly with minimal supervision.
  • Completes work with precision and keeps accurate records.
  • Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows through.
  • Works well with colleagues across departments and shifts.
  • Understands how maintenance impacts product safety and regulatory compliance.

Able to perform physical labor continually and stand for long periods.
