Our vision is to be our members’ first choice by providing experiences that inspire trust, confidence, and long-term relationships. When you join Securityplus, you become part of a purpose-driven team that believes in service, growth, and the power of community.

About this Role:

The Commercial Loan Administrator plays a key role in the ongoing administration, monitoring, and operational support of Securityplus Federal Credit Union’s commercial loan portfolio. This position helps ensure commercial loans are properly documented, boarded, maintained, reviewed, and monitored throughout the life of the loan in accordance with policy, regulatory expectations, and sound credit administration practices.

The Commercial Loan Administrator works collaboratively with lending, operations, finance, risk management, third-party vendors, and other internal partners to support asset quality, maintain file integrity, resolve post-closing and servicing issues, and ensure accurate portfolio reporting and audit readiness.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of commercial loan administration in a collaborative, member-obsessed environment.

Requirements:

In this full-time role, you’ll be responsible for:

Owning the Portfolio

You will serve as a critical steward of Securityplus’s commercial loan portfolio, managing the full lifecycle of loan administration from origination through maturity. This means ensuring every file is properly documented, accurately boarded, consistently monitored, and always audit-ready. You will track and maintain essential loan file items : including financial statements, tax returns, collateral documentation, insurance certificates, titles, lien filings, and UCC filings : while proactively identifying and resolving gaps before they become issues. Your attention to detail and commitment to file integrity will directly protect the credit union’s asset quality and regulatory standing.

Keeping the Portfolio Healthy

You will lead the coordination of annual reviews for commercial relationships, including financial reporting, covenant compliance tracking, documentation exceptions, and review deadlines. You will assist in maintaining accurate internal risk ratings, watch list reporting, and exception tracking tools that give leadership a clear picture of portfolio health. When renewals, extensions, or modifications arise, you will review them for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with approved terms and loan policy : ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

Solving Problems. Managing Risk.

When post-closing, servicing, or documentation issues arise, you will be the person who owns the resolution. You will work across internal teams and with third-party partners to address deficiencies that could create operational, collateral, credit, or compliance risk. Your ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and follow through on outstanding items will be essential to keeping the portfolio clean and the credit union protected.

Turning Data Into Insight

You will assist in preparing commercial loan portfolio reports for management, committees, ALM, and the board, including trend analysis, concentration monitoring, and asset quality reporting. You will also conduct quality-control reviews of loan files and servicing records to surface data-integrity issues or process weaknesses. Your work will give decision-makers the accurate, timely information they need to lead the portfolio with confidence.

Collaborating and Improving.

You will work hand in hand with lending, loan operations, finance, legal, risk, and third-party service providers to ensure consistent commercial loan administration and timely issue resolution. Beyond day-to-day collaboration, you will contribute to process improvements, policy updates, and workflow enhancements that make the commercial lending function more efficient and scalable. You will also support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations, ensuring our files and reporting reflect the high standards we hold ourselves to.

Leading with Our Values

At Securityplus, how you work matters as much as what you accomplish. You will bring our CARES values: Collaboration, Agility, Respect, Excellence, and Spirit, to life every day, serving as a trusted partner to your colleagues and a positive force within the commercial lending team. You will support and guide team members on loan administration processes, uphold compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, and contribute to a culture where accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement are the standard.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit administration, loan operations, portfolio management support, or a related financial services role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation, post-closing requirements, servicing processes, and portfolio administration.
  • Knowledge of commercial credit structures, collateral documentation, covenant tracking, financial statement requirements, and internal risk-rating concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, assess risk, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple files, deadlines, and follow-up items in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with members, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a high attention to detail and quality control mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution environment.
  • Experience with loan review, exception tracking, annual review coordination, criticized asset monitoring, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and sound commercial lending practices.
