Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure the guns and pumps are properly functioning
  • Changeover stain or paints with colors change
  • Ensure color matches to our standard
  • Spray product
  • Follow process specific work instructions
  • Ensure quality standards are met
  • Clean the guns, pumps, and booths after use
  • Perform any designated maintenance tasks

Essential Skills

  • Basic understanding of using guns to apply paints and stains
  • Have an eye for color
  • Ability to spray smoothly and evenly
  • Basic equipment maintenance skills
  • Understandings of common quality finish defects
  • Able to perform to production demands
  • Ability to perform other duties requested or required by management
  • Follow direction and instruction

  • Ability to work overtime when needed

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Move about the factory floor to access machinery, materials, and product storage.
  • Transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate, activate, and use production machinery and hand tools that require repetitive

motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers.

  • Detects and inspect parts for quality control at close vision (less than 20 inches) and assess safety hazards from a distance (20 feet or more).

The employee will be exposed to a manufacturing environment where the noise level can be loud and will work around moving mechanical parts. Regular exposure to airborne particles and temperature fluctuations should be expected. The use of appropriate PPE is required.
