Responsibilities:

• Communicate daily with upper management to ensure leadership decisions and actions align with company objectives
• Lead and communicate daily with production employees regarding safety, productivity, quality, and delivery expectations
• Make sound independent decisions and escalate to senior management when appropriate
• Use production schedules to prioritize equipment and departmental workflow to ensure on-time customer delivery
• Manage payroll information, including overtime, vacation, and holiday tracking for hourly employees
• Partner with fellow manufacturing leaders to ensure critical departments and equipment are properly staffed
• Monitor work areas for safety compliance and correct deficiencies or escalate concerns to Maintenance, Engineering, or management
• Establish performance standards and monitor employee performance to drive productivity and continuous improvement
• Maintain high ethical standards and support company mission and values
• Hire, plan, assign, and direct work for team members
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, reward performance, and address disciplinary matters
• Resolve employee concerns and support leadership development across the team

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years of related technical education or three years of related on-the-job training
• At least four years of recent supervisory manufacturing experience
• Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality requirements, industrial engineering, and tooling processes
• Ability to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate manufacturing production programs
• Proven ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining morale and productivity
• Proficiency with general office systems and manufacturing-related software

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing environments
• Strong leadership and employee development background
• Experience with production scheduling and workforce planning
