Environmental Service Aide at RWJBarnabas Health – Somerville, New Jersey

Job Overview:

O,R Support Aides, is responsible for, cleaning and reporting any safety hazards to the manager in charge,

They must complete tasks like vacuuming, emptying trashcans, dusting, high dusting, cleaning windows, cleaning, sweeping and mopping patient rooms, bathrooms, nurse s station and hallways in the O,R,

Qualifications:

Required:

Required for one weekend a month,

Required to work every other Holiday,

Preferred:

Skills: One to two years as housekeeper or service worker preferred,

Command of English,

Physical Functions: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods,

Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 lbs,

Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing or safety equipment,

Scheduling Requirements

Day Shift, 6:30am - 3:00pm

40 Hours a week

To provide housekeeping/cleaning service that will support the highest possible level of cleanliness and sanitation for the department; provide exceptional service to internal and external customers; maintain an orderly and attractive environment throughout the facility in accordance to RWJ standards,
