GUEST SERVICES ASSOCIATE at Longwood Gardens – Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Longwood Gardens is seeking part-time Guest Services Associates to join our Guest Engagement team. Individuals in this position will be responsible for providing guest services and guest engagement for a variety of year-round and seasonal garden services, exhibits, shows, talks, and events. Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and preparing assigned areas for guest readiness, including operational tasks such as placing signage, providing wayfinding, and managing crowd control during busy visitation periods
• Supporting performances and special events both indoors and outdoors, by hosting coat checks, answering questions, and assisting guests with reserved seating
• Operating the garden shuttle vehicles
• Identifying, reporting, and responding to safety concerns in accordance with Longwood policy
• Participating in training sessions and meetings to gain knowledge for effectively interacting with guests

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Professional and hospitable demeanor
• Exceptional customer service, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

The work schedule varies and will include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
