About This Position
The Business Office Manager oversees resident accounts, assists with recruitment and general accounting duties. This position reports to the Executive Director. This position is not a supervisory role.
Job Description
- Maintain basic knowledge of computer software and internet applications.
- Maintain resident, business office and employee files.
- Perform Human Resources function by reviewing candidate resumes and scheduling interviews as needed.
- Assist in answering resident billing issues. Also maintain the ancillary charge worksheet on a weekly basis.
- Assist the Executive Director in ensuring that move-in deposits and rents are deposited in a timely manner.
- Send monthly delinquent notices and follow collection guidelines.
- Process resident lease renewal letters.
- Ensure that accounts payable procedures are submitted timely & accurately.
- Ensure that all proprietary, financial, and resident information is kept confidential.
- Monitor and record petty cash disbursements and reconcile to replenish.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of the office, it’s records, and restricted information.
- Understands the safety and disaster plan.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Mansions Senior Living.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in Human Resources or Accounting preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Experience working in senior housing or long-term care preferred.
- English fluency preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- PART-TIME
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive Criminal Background Screening and pre-employment Drug Test
- Must provide valid employment documents
- Must have reliable transportation to report to work on time and maintain good attendance
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, bend, or kneel throughout shift. Must be able to lift 25-50lbs.
- Customer service: includes professional, prompt and courteous correspondence with residents, visitors, contractors, coworkers and supervisors
- Maintain a positive “can-do” attitude
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction with attention to details
- Self-motivated, able to work with/without supervision
- Communicate politely & professionally with customers, co-workers & supervisors
- Maintain an accurate and a thorough knowledge of all the aspects of the property, specifically in areas such as community policies, safety and emergency procedures, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: (including but not limited to)
- Must be able to complete assigned tasks in allowed days/time
- Must have attention to detail
- Other miscellaneous duties assigned
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS
- Hourly, non-exempt from overtime
- Eligible for Vacation/Sick Leave after 90 days of employment
