Role Description

As a Happier Grocery Checkout Experience Associate, you play an essential role in the customer experience by providing fast and friendly service. You will build relationships with customers, process transactions, maintain floor merchandise and inventory standards, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers entering and leaving the business
  • Provides exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area
  • Processes customer purchases in a fun and efficient manner
  • Performs general cleaning duties
  • Provides feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
  • Participates in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy
  • Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses


Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as a cashier or in customer service
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • You must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Effective time management
  • Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
  • Comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively
