The mission of CPLC's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied alien children, and other eligible individuals and families, through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

You will provide direct care, supervision, and support to refugee and immigrant youth in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive development. You will guide youth through daily routines, encourage positive behaviors, and help foster a stable, structured, and nurturing environment.

You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe and culturally responsive environment that promotes emotional growth, resilience, and independence. You will help youth feel valued, supported, and empowered while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.

You will play a key role in creating consistency, stability, and trust, helping youth build confidence and develop skills essential for their future success.

In addition, ideally you are someone who can exercise good judgment, maintain professionalism, and respond calmly in challenging situations. You have strong interpersonal skills, work well as part of a team, and are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for youth to grow and succeed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education and Background Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional coursework or training in child welfare, social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children or adolescents in a child welfare, residential, or behavioral health setting.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Driver’s License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that meets organizational insurance requirements.
  • Must be able to pass all background checks successfully.
