About This Position
Summary of Primary Functions: The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling detailed project schedules for complex industrial engineering and installation projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are properly planned, monitored, and delivered in line with contractual milestones and operational requirements.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain fully logic-linked, resource- and cost-loaded project schedules using MS Primavera P6, Microsoft Project Establish work breakdown structures (WBS) aligned with project scope and execution strategy Create baseline schedules and manage updates in accordance with change control processes Integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication, delivery, and site installation activities into a single master program. Update schedules with actual progress data and forecast remaining durations Perform critical path, float, and schedule risk analysis Produce look-ahead schedules, recovery programs, and scenario impact analysis Prepare and present weekly and monthly schedule reports for internal and client stakeholders Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, and Site Teams Support planning workshops, schedule reviews, and coordination meetings Interface with suppliers and subcontractors to validate lead times and delivery dates Provide schedule input to support decision-making and project controls activities Identify schedule-related risks and contribute to mitigation and recovery planning Assess the schedule impact of scope changes, variations, and delays Support extension of time (EOT) submissions, claims preparation, and forensic schedule analysis as required Job Specifications, Qualifications, and Experience
The successful candidate must have proven experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, supporting schedule integration, progress reporting, and critical path analysis across multi-discipline workstreams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred
- 3–7+ years of experience in a Project Scheduler or Planning Engineer role
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Projects is required
- Experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, construction, or installation environments strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of planning methodologies, critical path method (CPM), and project controls principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Primavera P6, Microsoft Projects
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for schedule analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and cost-schedule integration (preferred)
- Experience working with contractual schedules and milestone-driven programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex schedules clearly
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-project environments
