Position Summary:
The Commercial Loan Operations Coordinator assists with overseeing the daily activities of the commercial loan operations team, ensuring efficient workflow, compliance, and high-quality service throughout the loan lifecycle. This position provides leadership and guidance to staff involved in processing, post-closing, recording, and servicing functions. This position will also be responsible for assisting the department manager in training new employees, resolving escalated customer issues and supporting continuous process improvements to ensure all commercial loan operations meet regulatory standards, while supporting the bank’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly organized and capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions:

- Provide support for all day-to-day activities within Commercial Loan Operations.
- Support the completion of daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and loan operations checking accounts.
- Support the preparation of and monitor required daily, weekly and/or monthly reports.
- Complete mass maintenance functionality stemming from policy or procedural changes, system updates and/or corrections.
- Flood insurance monitoring, notification letters, cancellations and force placed insurance.
- Assist with departmental initiatives and special projects.
- Maintain strong communication with department leadership to facilitate process improvement implementation, timely issue resolution, and collaboration between departments.
- Assist with training new or promoted employees within Commercial Loan Operations.
- Provide direct support for commercial loan operations functions and teammates.
- Assist with internal, external and regulatory audits by providing requested documentation and system data.
- Assist in the booking and reviewing of all commercial loan types.
- Assist in processing and reviewing of modifications and renewals.
- Review and approve daily batch entries.
- Assist with complex loan transactions including lot release requests, construction loan advances and participation loan advances, payments and modifications,
- Review completed maintenance requests for accurate completion within the core banking system.
- Review prepared loan payoffs and statements.
- Backup and support with the recording and satisfaction of collateral documentation.
- Resolves escalated commercial loan operational issues and service tickets within SLA time frames.
- Serve as subject matter expert for commercial loan operations functions.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong technical skills, knowledge of commercial loan structures, terminology and understanding of loan documentation and post-closing procedures.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Possess strong organizational skills with attention to details.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Proficiency with analytics.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines. Due to physical location of this position, phone ringing, and people conversing, it may be difficult to hear at times and therefore easily distracting.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Flexibility of schedule to meet business needs is required.
