Position Summary:

The Associate Product Manager role provides hands-on experience in product development from concept through retail launch. This role will work closely with the Product Manager and cross-functional teams including design, sourcing, marketing, and sales to develop products for major retailers such as Walmart, Target, Hobby Lobby and more. The Associate Product Manager plays a key role in supporting our Product Development team in bringing innovative products to the market.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and excited about consumer products, trends, and the fast-paced retail environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their product career who wants hands-on experience in product development through retail launch. Experience in merchandising or product coordination is highly relevant and provides a strong foundation for success in this Associate Product Manager position.

Work Arrangements:

  • Hybrid work arrangement, 3 days required onsite

Required (minimum) Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in product development, merchandising, buying, or product management (consumer goods preferred)

Preferred Qualifications (used as selection criteria):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Product Development, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel preferred.

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with the Product Manager to drive the end-to-end development and execution of new product lines from concept to final production sample.
  • Contribute to product concepting and market strategy by conducting competitive research and analysis within the craft, DIY, and accessories space.
  • Coordinate and monitor product development timelines and key deliverables to ensure on-time launches.
  • Develop and maintain sourcing and product development documentation, including bills of materials and program trackers to ensure accuracy.
  • Own the accuracy and integrity of product data including specifications, costing, packaging details, and retailer requirements.
  • Assist in preparing product presentations, line reviews, and product decks for internal teams and retail partners.
  • Participate in review of samples, prototypes, and packaging, providing feedback to support quality and alignment with brand standards.
  • Manage the organization and tracking of product samples and development materials ensuring proper documentation throughout the development of lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Designer on sample mockups, testing, and supporting refinements as needed.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, in particular PowerPoint and Excel.
