In this role, you will serve as a regional subject matter expert for legislation in North America, contributing significantly to various projects within Global Editorial Operations. Your expertise will ensure that high-quality, AI-ready legislative datasets are produced across diverse jurisdictions, impacting the effectiveness of our editorial workflows. As you collaborate cross-functionally, your strategic input will be vital to the success of legislative content acquisition and publication, allowing the team to meet user needs and adapt to emerging technologies.
Accountabilities
  • Act as the primary SME for legislation across North America and Canada.
  • Advise on authoritative sources and acquisition models for multiple projects.
  • Define content acquisition requirements in alignment with global standards.
  • Provide guidance on conversion rules and publication workflows.
  • Develop and implement content strategies for various jurisdictions.
  • Identify new legislative opportunities to enhance market competitiveness.
  • Translate legislative requirements into actionable backlogs and user stories.
  • Lead editorial requirements for CMSs and workflow structures.
  • Produce estimates for editorial efforts regarding acquisition and publication.
  • Identify scope risks and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with teams to optimize tooling and ensure efficiency.
  • Test new tools and provide actionable feedback.
  • Coordinate editorial expertise for multiple projects to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies to share editorial requirements.
Requirements
  • Law degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in legal research or legislative content management.
  • Proven ability to lead agile ceremonies and apply agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency and experience with AI tools.
  • Strong understanding of legislative frameworks in North America.
