Mgr Respiratory Services at Beacon Health System – Kalamazoo, Michigan

Full time. 40 hrs/week. Day shift. 0800-1700

Manages operations for Respiratory, Sleep Disorders and/or other services.

• Implements departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, conflict management and other job related issues. Oversees scheduling, recruitment and payroll.
• Prepares and monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations?

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:

• Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
• Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
• Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
• Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
• Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
• Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
• Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
• Complies with established organization and department policies.
• Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

One or more of the following:

• Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to
• hire date or job transfer date.
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for
• Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. • Preferred Credential(s):
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of
• Pediatrics (AAP).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
