Certified Medical Assistant at PRECISION HEALTHCARE SPECIALISTS LLC – Fort Myers, Florida

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our Mohs Dermatology team. This role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care before, during, and after Mohs micrographic surgery procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable in a surgical setting, and thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment.

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and consent forms
• Prepare patients for Mohs surgery, including pre-operative instructions and education
• Assist providers during procedures, including maintaining sterile fields and handing instruments
• Administer medications and local anesthetics as directed by the provider (per scope and state guidelines)
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and provide post-operative instructions
• Prepare and label specimens for laboratory processing
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Assist with scheduling procedures, follow-ups, and coordinating care
• Maintain exam and procedure rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards at all times

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience preferred
• Experience in dermatology, Mohs surgery, or surgical specialty strongly preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athenahealth)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
