This role is a hands-on, technical leadership position responsible for managing and optimizing the full HR technology stack. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems across the employee lifecycle while building automation and process improvements that enhance operational efficiency. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will oversee system integrations, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain data integrity across multiple platforms. The role also involves managing vendor relationships, documenting technical workflows, and mentoring a People Technology Specialist. Accountabilities:
  • Own and manage the HR tech support function, including intake, triage, resolution, and escalation of tickets
  • Build and maintain AI-assisted workflows to improve process efficiency, including intelligent routing, notifications, and classification
  • Oversee integrations, technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and configuration for HR systems
  • Serve as a technical resource and escalation point for HR technology issues across the organization
  • Identify and implement automation and process improvements to reduce manual work and enhance data integrity
  • Collaborate with People Operations, IT, Finance, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure workflows, triggers, and approvals are production-grade
  • Stay current on HR technology trends, tools, and AI capabilities to continuously improve systems and processes
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in technical systems, HRIS, integration engineering, or IT roles with HR data management focus
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations, event-driven workflows, or data pipelines
  • Deep knowledge of ADP (Lyric preferred; Workforce Now considered), including configuration, reporting, and workflows
  • Experience with identity and directory systems (e.g., OKTA) for HR-IT integrations
  • Strong data fluency: designing schemas, tracing data lineage, validating integrity, and building audit processes
  • Ability to work autonomously on complex, multi-system problems and communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience handling sensitive HR data, PII, and ensuring compliance with security regulations
  • Preferred: bidirectional HRIS syncs, familiarity with Snowflake or cloud data warehouses, payroll/leave management system experience, AI-assisted workflow deployment, high-growth company exposure
