This role focuses on driving sales growth, brand penetration, and customer loyalty for Ford Customization parts and accessories across a defined territory. The Ford Customization Account Manager will work closely with dealerships, wholesale accounts, and field personnel to consult on product offerings, support dealer training, and implement promotional and display initiatives. This position requires frequent travel within assigned metro markets and hands-on engagement with dealer teams to maximize vehicle customization opportunities. The ideal candidate combines automotive expertise with sales acumen, providing guidance on product applications, e-commerce channels, and wholesale distribution while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Success in this role directly impacts revenue, dealer engagement, and brand visibility in the market.
- Drive sales growth and increase loyalty and utilization of Ford Customization products to meet revenue targets and Per New Unit Retail (PNUR) goals
- Act as the Ford Customization product specialist for dealer and field personnel, providing training and guidance on product applications
- Consult with dealerships on new vehicle ordering and customization options, including in-plant, custom garage, and dealer-installed solutions
- Support product and sales process training to enhance dealership offerings and customer presentations
- Implement Ford Customization displays, vehicle builds, and event activations in assigned dealerships
- Expand wholesale penetration through independent accessory installers and distributors
- Provide feedback on product, pricing, and incentive opportunities to influence corporate strategies and increase sales
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in dealership sales, accessory/customization sales, or automotive account management
- College degree preferred but not required
- Automotive enthusiast with knowledge of off-roading and vehicle customization a plus
- Proven ability to consult, train, and influence dealership personnel
- Strong organizational, project management, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and web tools
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a sense of urgency and customer service orientation
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 90% of the time, including occasional overnight stays
- Experience with brand/product representation, sales process improvement, and training programs
