Position Title: Freight Handler - PV/TESLA
Description
Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) has a, Full-Time Freight Handler position open in the Stockton, CA, Prime Vendor Division. Schedule is Monday-Friday. 5 AM start time. With the use of a forklift or other machinery, a freight handler states and organizes chill and frozen pallets in preparation for delivery while operating safely.
Rate of Pay:
- $24.30 per hour for New Hire
- 90 day introduction period step increase (new hire only)
- Yearly step increase first 3 years at anniversary (new hire only)
- Yearly annual increases every January

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Restack and re-palletize products as necessary
- Pick customer orders
- Offload inbound trucks
- Load outbound trucks
- Receive freight
- Use of industrial powered equipment (electric, forklift and OP)
- Lift up to 60 pounds
- Pallet wrapping
- Stage pallet of product in designated area
- Retrieve USDA pallets for inspection
- Use of equipment including double pallet jack
- Use of Cherry Picker
- Responsible for the housekeeping/sanitation of working areas
- Basic math skills needed for product counts
- Other duties as assigned; Put aways for chill & frozen, including occasional loading and transfers
Job Requirements:
Education: High School diploma
Experience: Six months verifiable grocery picking experience and forklift certification, preferably in a grocery warehouse environment.
Knowledge: Good reading, writing, math and computer skills.
Skills and Abilities: Must have good motor skills, spatial skills and cognitive ability. Must have good organizational skills.
