Software Development Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Development Engineer in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of modern front-end engineering and cloud-native application development, focusing on building intuitive, high-performance user experiences that support critical healthcare and diagnostics solutions. You will contribute to platforms that transform complex scientific and clinical data into accessible, actionable insights for clinicians and stakeholders. Working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, you will design and deliver scalable interfaces and services powered by cloud infrastructure. The position requires close partnership with product, design, and engineering teams to translate user needs into elegant technical solutions. You will help ensure applications are reliable, performant, and aligned with modern usability standards. This is a highly impactful role where your work directly supports better decision-making in cancer care.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain modern user interfaces using frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular, ensuring responsive and scalable experiences.
  • Build and deploy cloud-based applications using AWS services, integrating front-end systems with APIs and backend data pipelines.
  • Translate user stories and design concepts into production-ready code, collaborating closely with design and product teams.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while participating in code reviews and maintaining engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across front-end, APIs, and cloud infrastructure components.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through staying current with industry trends, tools, and modern development practices.
Requirements:

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and at least 4+ years of experience in software development. Candidates should have strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies such as React, Vue.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, along with hands-on experience working in AWS environments. A solid understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and front-end performance optimization is essential. Experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and cloud-native applications is highly desirable. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and observability solutions is a strong plus. The ideal candidate combines strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.

Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from approximately $135,000 to $189,000 depending on location and experience
  • Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and equity/stock-based compensation
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Remote-friendly work environment with flexibility for US-based candidates
  • Retirement savings plans and additional financial wellness benefits
  • Inclusive, mission-driven culture focused on innovation in healthcare and career growth opportunities.
