About This Position
The schedule for this position is Monday–Thursday 3:00pm–2:00am, overtime as needed (Three day weekends!!)
The Production Maintenance Associate supports the day-to-day operation of our production floor. This role assists in maintaining and repairing the equipment used in our headwear manufacturing operations, including industrial embroidery machines, heat press equipment, automated cutting systems, forming and finishing equipment, air compressors, and material handling systems.
You’ll help with preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and respond when machines need attention. This includes working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
This position plays an important role in supporting production by completing work orders, assisting with repairs, performing routine maintenance, and helping minimize downtime. You’ll work closely with production supervisors and operators to keep operations moving and maintain a safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systems
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and support timely repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce equipment downtime
- Repair and replace basic components such as belts, chains, bearings, and motors with guidance as needed
- Assist with installation, removal, and relocation of equipment and machinery
- Support facility improvement projects, including basic carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Help maintain pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and compressors
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment controls and basic PLC-related tasks
- Read and follow equipment manuals, work instructions, and basic schematics
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety standards
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts (or willingness to be trained)
- Assist with general facility upkeep, including basic plumbing, grounds maintenance, and cleanliness
- Respond to maintenance needs on the production floor as they arise
- Work at heights using ladders or lifts as needed
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- 2+ years of maintenance, mechanical, or related experience preferred
- Technical training, trade school, or relevant coursework is a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience considered
Technical Skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Exposure to electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems is a plus
- Ability to learn to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Willingness to learn PLC systems and manufacturing equipment
