Childcare Center Director at Community Resources Inc. – Vienna, West Virginia

Looking for a Childcare Center Director for Bright Beginnings Childcare Center located in Vienna, WV.

We are looking for a Director who has a passion for working with children and their families in a childcare center. The center will provide care for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age.

The Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the center, including, but not limited to: hiring and training new staff, maintaining licensing standards in all aspects of the center, communicating with children and their parents, billing tuition, providing teachers with age appropriate curriculum, etc. The Director must be able to resolve conflict with children and adults quickly.

The successful candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision, be able to motivate and train new employees, have great problem solving skills and have demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility. Must have a warm and caring attitude towards children and their families, yet have the confidence to handle difficult situations as appropriate.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

An Associate Degree in Early Care and Education; OR A Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a related field with 12 college credit hours in early childhood development and 90 practicum contact hours; OR A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a total of 2 years of relevant work experience; OR A degree in business, management or administration with 12 college credit hours in early childhood development and three hundred (300) hours or relevant work experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Apply for WV STARS Career Pathway
• Complete 15 hours of approved training each year
• Complete Child abuse and neglect training, upon hire
• Complete First Aid and CPR training, upon hire
• Necessary licensing for working with children in WV
• Meet all licensing requirements for a Type III Center in WV
