Production Supervisor at Standard Bent Glass – East Butler, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, high-accountability Production Supervisor (Working Supervisor) to lead daily operations on our production floor in East Butler, PA. This non-exempt role reports to the Senior Production Manager and is responsible for owning production output, managing personnel, and ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality execution.

This is not a desk role—the ideal candidate will actively work on the floor, lead by example, and take full ownership of production performance within their assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own daily production execution within assigned areas (e.g., lamination, assembly).
  Ensure production targets for output, quality, and timing are consistently met.
  Identify and resolve bottlenecks in real time to maintain workflow.
• Supervise line leads and production operators.
  Manage staffing levels and adjust labor allocation based on production needs.
  Hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, and adherence to processes.
• Work directly on the production floor as needed to support output.
  Step into production roles during staffing shortages or high-demand periods.
  Lead by example in productivity, quality, and work ethic.
• Prepare and release work orders to the floor.
  Organize and distribute drawings and production documentation.
  Maintain accurate production tracking within ERP systems and ensure required documentation is completed.
• Enforce material control processes and ensure all inventory movement is properly tracked.
  Coordinate with inventory teams to ensure material availability and accuracy.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  Serve as the liaison between production and engineering/technical teams.
  Escalate issues and contribute to process improvements.
• Enforce quality standards and ensure compliance with ISO procedures.
  Identify and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Enforce all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  Address safety concerns immediately and proactively.

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a leadership or lead role.
• Proven ability to manage teams on a production floor.
• Strong understanding of production flow, scheduling, and execution.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Experience with ERP systems or production tracking tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to enforce accountability and maintain structure on the floor.

Preferred:

• Experience in glass, lamination, or similar manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
