Stockroom Attendant at WITTMANN USA INC – Torrington, Connecticut

Work Location: In person

This position will perform manual and clerical warehousing duties as required to receive, store and distribute materials.

• This position requires knowledge of stockroom procedures and processes.
• Unload and organize incoming materials.
• Store parts in stockroom, warehouse, or production floor bins or shelves, accurately following labeling procedures.
• Operate forklifts and cranes in a safe manner to receive, stock, or release items.
• Answer stockroom door and provide materials to various internal departments.
• Pick parts to fill Work Orders or Sales Orders using provided pick lists.
• Transfer parts from the stockroom or warehouse to production bins or shelves.
• Report any issues, abnormalities, or shortages to supervisor.
• Perform year-end inventory counting.
• Perform cycle counting.
• Must be available, as needed, to work additional hours for stockroom reorganization or related stockroom/warehousing projects.
• Complete all assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain a customer-friendly and professional attitude when dealing with internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar position desirable.
