Quality Manager at QuikCut LLC – Fort Wayne, Indiana

Job Summary: The Quality Manager will oversee the quality assurance and control processes within our fabrication facility. This role ensures that all products meet the required standards and specifications before they reach the customer. The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality inspectors and work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain departments to maintain and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of the fabrication process to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and implement process improvements.
• Train and mentor staff on best practices and new procedures.
• Manage the documentation and reporting of quality metrics and performance indicators.
• Ensure that all quality control equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues and resolutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in quality management software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer).
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to the fabrication industry.
