Packer-1st shift6:00am-2:30pm Warehouse at Charta Group Inc. – Austin, Texas

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to type. The employee is required to sit for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to see up close, ability to adjust focus and keen eye for detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Packaging of materials in boxes form through a heat shrink tunnel or manually for full width or slit rolls.
• Hand assembly of packaging materials.
• Assist in operation of one or more of the following pieces of equipment: sheeting equipment, cutting equipment, pouching, and other packaging equipment.
• Maintain appropriate housekeeping and process cleanliness.
• Work closely with others in a team environment to meet safety, quality and production goals.
• Interface with existing computer systems: Email, PC applications (Word & Excel).
• Physical and / or mechanical movement of materials manually and with pallet jacks and fork trucks

Experience & Qualifications

Required

• Must be able to tolerate working in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to tolerate working in an environment with a moderate or loud level of noise.
• Must be reliable.
• Must be able to work flexible hours depending on business demands.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50+lbs. on a consistent basis

Education

Must have a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED).

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel and/or crouch 
• Capable to lift or move 50 + lbs through out shift 
• Occasionally required to climb or balance 
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls: reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch. 

Schedule: 2:30pm-11:00pm
