McConway & Torley is seeking a Temporary Inventory Clerk for our storeroom. This role is project based, and expected to last at least approximately 3 months.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Shift: 6am-2pm
What you’ll be doing:
- Storing, labeling, and tracking inventory using computerized systems and handheld scanners
- Performing inventory counts, inspections, and basic quality checks as required
- Operating forklifts, company vehicles, and material-handling equipment safely
- Maintaining organization and proper storage of materials throughout the storeroom and warehouse
- Supporting loading, storage, and movement of materials according to established procedures
- Complying with all safety policies, including use of required personal protective equipment
- Working collaboratively with team members to meet operational goals
What you’ll need:
- Ability to safely operate a forklift; certification preferred or ability to obtain
- One year of related warehouse, storeroom, or inventory experience preferred
- Working knowledge of inventory systems, scanners, or computerized tracking tools
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including lifting, standing, and working in industrial conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team
Working Conditions:
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
Safety Activities:
- Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
- Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
