The role's primary impact involves providing critical support to the Database team within a Managed Application, Infrastructure, and Security Services contract. The Database Analyst will collaborate with matrixed teams, ensuring efficient Oracle DBA support. This position plays a vital role in configuring and deploying databases, while also implementing essential security protocols and maintaining compliance across various environments, all while promoting effective data retrieval strategies.Accountabilities

• Configure and deploy Oracle databases; experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB is a plus.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases seamlessly with existing applications.
• Implement required security protocols.
• Develop and maintain scripts for enforcing security compliance and monitoring database activities.
• Perform routine administration tasks including backups, patching, and performance tuning.
• Optimize query performance and indexing strategies to enhance data retrieval efficiency.
• Manage both RDS and on-premises instances, ensuring synchronization and data consistency across environments.
• Implement monitoring tools to track database performance, reliability, and security compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of related experience in database administration and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database management.
• Experience with additional database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB is beneficial.
• Proficiency in developing compliance scripts and understanding security protocols.
