Medical Assistant/Scribe at Remedy Behavioral Health – Florence, Alabama

Remedy Behavioral Health is growing — and we're looking for a Medical Assistant / Medical Scribe to join our outpatient clinic team in Florence. This is a unique and vital role that blends clinical documentation and patient care support. You'll work directly under our Medical Director, helping streamline patient visits, maintain accurate records, and ensure our providers can focus fully on what matters most — our clients.

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as the primary scribe for the Medical Director during patient appointments
• Accurately document patient encounters in the EMR system in real time
• Assist with patient rooming, vitals, and basic intake when needed
• Manage provider schedules and help coordinate follow-up care
• Communicate effectively with clinic staff, providers, and patients
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal documentation standards
• Support prescription refills, prior authorizations, and lab follow-ups as directed

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year of experience in a healthcare setting (behavioral health preferred)
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and EMR usage
• Excellent typing and documentation skills with close attention to detail
• Calm, compassionate demeanor and strong interpersonal communication
• Ability to multitask and support both clinical and administrative workflows
• MA certification or related experience preferred but not required
