Why do we need you?
To supervise work activities of cleaning personnel and inspect hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies.
What you will do:
- Assigns list of rooms to Room Attendants.
- Responsible in assisting executive housekeeper in conducting room attendant training, completing room assignments, and serving in the absence of the executive housekeeper.
- Posts room occupancy records.
- Adjusts guests’ complaints regarding housekeeping service or equipment.
- Writes requisitions for room supplies and furniture renovation or replacements.
- Reports need for room redecoration to Housekeeper.
- Examines carpets, drapes and furniture for stains, damage, or wear.
- Checks and counts linens and supplies.
- Records inspection results and notifies cleaning personnel or inadequacies.
- Responsible for assisting in cleaning rooms or public areas and performing laundry functions as workload may require.
- Responsible for notifying the Maintenance Department of any necessary repairs or maintenance work via the completion of maintenance work orders or verbal communication.
- Distributing to the Room Attendants any new items that are to be stocked in the guest rooms.
Skills and abilities you bring:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Understand simple instructions.
- Plan the work of others.
- Learn simple procedures and techniques.
- Perform routine work or the same task repeatedly.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
- Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
Schedule & Hours:
This is a full time position, 40 hours per week.
Physical Demands: Light work. Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
